This is the first picture I have of Cherokee from 2013. He was brought in from a puppy mill bust to the Collin County Animal Shelter. An older lady was backyard breeding and she had 26 Siberian Huskies chained up in a barn behind her house. This older woman had very little energy to take care of the dogs so she kept them chained up in dog runs in a run down barn. Instead of feeding them puppy food, she would throw them chicken feed to eat. Collin County Animal Control found the barn when another dog they were chasing ran into the barn. They followed him in and found 26 Siberian Huskies living in dismal conditions. They confiscated all of the dogs and charged the wonan with animal abuse. This puppy mill bust actually made all the papers in the Dallas Area.
