It was 2022 and my Mother died at the ripe old age of 91. In the same month both of my dogs, Cherokee the Husky and Collie the Australian Shephard, also died. My foster dog at the time, Finley was the only dog left. At one point, I had 10 dogs at my house including my own dogs and fosters, but now I was down to one. Dallas had changed the ordinance now allowing only 5 total pets for a residence, so I could never go back to that again. But my house was so quiet without my Mother and my pack of dogs. I needed something to cheer the place up, so I went to the Dallas Animal Shelter looking for another Border Collie.
Here is Mist when I first met her at her foster home. She was a 6 month old puppy.
